Pisgah Covered Bridge In A Fantasy Realm

We had a great time here. I didn’t have

on the proper clothes and was freezing too death but I really had a good time. The Pisgah Covered Bridge is in Asheboro about 30-45 minutes away from the airport.

Here’s a little history of the bridge.

We actually had to walk in to bridge. Normally you can drive but the gate was closed. As you can see we didn’t let that stop us. The first few are in and around the bridge and the rest of them are pictures of the very nice little trail you can follow bringing you full circle to behind the bridge.

Tracey actually took the picture below when she and Paul were on the rocks. It is one of my favorites and now graces my desktop. While walking the trail we were truly in another world. The wind would below and snow sparkling in the sun light like little diamonds would shower us. I kept expecting to run into a gnomb, perhaps an elf or see a fairy or two peeking from behind a tree at us. The trees really were magnificent with some of them arcing over us like snow rainbows. It truly was magical today. I hope I’ve captured some of the enchantment I felt.

Wow cool pictures. I gather you didn’t want your pictures taken. Nice looks like you all had a nice day even if it was cold out.

No pictures of the photographer. Well, there was one. It didn’t make the cut. LOL.
