It was a tough game against Butler but somehow Duke made it through as the NCAA champs. They won because Scheyer calmly lead the team with that michievous twinkle in his eye, Brian Zoobeck played a solid center, Nolan Smith played the game with angel Dad riding his shoulder and Kyle Singular literally sang that ball into the hoop. Not the most technical explanation given for winning but hey I’m an aspiring writer of Fantasy so what can you expect? Singular was named as Most Outstanding Player and he is that. They say this is a classic game. I have to take their word for it. All I know it wasn’t clear who the winner would be and the suspense was killer til that final buzzer rang. Those guys from Butler did an excellent job and since the majority of them were sophomores and juniors they are going to be a formidable team next year. As for Coach K, there is no doubt he’s a legend but Butler’s Coach Stevens, I believe, has a good shot at being one himself. Final score 61-59.
So here’s a couple of mellow songs to let the adrenaline flow a little slower after such an exciting game.
