And The Gods Were Pleased…

Yea, they directed

their servants the Cardinals, the Robins, the Blue Jays, the Blue Birds and a host of others to leave tokens of their appreciation so that we might find them and understand the honor they bestowed upon us.

Their glorious presence have left us speechless. The honor has robbed us of a glib tongue.

We have been humbled before the Gods as they have deigned to grace us with twittering and poop in our Garden of Eden.

Lo, the Gods have instilled us with wisdom, yea with the knowledge they will return each summer to so gift us.

This history doth testify to the events of this summer so that we might look back and remember. So it is written.

In other words the birds got the fruits of our labors from the straw bale garden. Not sure what to do about that but we’ll try to figure something out for next year. We do have a few things left and I took pictures.

I believe what is growing here is a honeydew melon.

Not sure what this is, could be another honeydew melon.

Not sure what this hairy thing is either.

Just a pretty picture of the flowers. Better them than poop, right?

So you know this calls for a video, right?  Here are The Byrds:

Garden looks good, and the fruit look like baby melons. It really works, growing from the middle of a bale. Well done. Thanks for the photos. 🙂

Wonderful to learn of new things! Sorry the birds got your fruit, but they’ll be re-planting them somewhere else. It’s a very pretty little mound of greenery. Do fairies live in it?

@ Diane Thank you and you’re welcome.

@ Texanne. I thought I saw a fairy peep out at me the other day. Didn’t have my camera, though. Darn it!

Maybe it was them instead of the birds? If so they’re awful rude for using my garden as their toilet. Maybe they thought they were helping by fertilizing it.
