A Bit of An Emergency

For Writers on Wednesdays is postponed due to an animal emergency. Tracey brought home an extremely ill Chinese Water Dragon. We are working on him or her. I can’t say the sex because there’s no way to tell. It’s so malnourished and dehydrated.

Poor thing. I can’t even describe its condition and the conditions it was living in.

I’m mad though. No living being should be treated this way. It’s animal cruelty plain and simple. The woman who had it did the first right thing for this poor creature by giving it up.

I don’t know if it will live or die but we will do our best for it.

Pray for it, please or send whatever blessings you will.

Strange how life sometimes gets in the way of your writing, just like mine last week. 🙂 Still, some things are more important than writing during moments of our lives. And getting the little things correct, helps enrich our lives.

The poor thing. I hope your nursing delivers it back to good health.

I’ve never heard of a Chinese Water Dragon, so I looked it up. Very cool.

So sorry the poor thing has been badly treated. Best of luck in your efforts to care for it. Honestly, it doesn’t surprise me anymore the cruelty of some people toward helpless animals. Just pisses me off.
