Welcome to the Gender Reveal Party

Woo, hoo!

Here’s the sign in:

Name suggestions are requested:

Holly asked for plant or flower names: Among the suggestions were Rose, Pansy, Kendal, John Ray IV, Hemlock and Ivy. All given in good fun of course.

The party table:

Yummy.

Where’s the cake?

If you guessed this was the cake, you were right.

It’s beautiful, isn’t it? Everyone thought it was an actual present. Nope. John’s Aunt Judy created the cake for the parents-to-be. She also did their wedding cake. In case you’re wondering, as good as it was to look at, it was even better to eat.

Family and friends arrive. There was lots of pink in the crowd:

Judy, the lady on the left, was the cake creator extraordinaire.  She was talking to Gayle, John’s mom. Also in view is the back of J.R.’s head, he is John’s dad.

Ordering pizza:

Big smiles. It’s time for the reveal:

Cutting the cake.

All is revealed:

We’ve got a girl!

Group photos:

Tracey, Jill, Holly and John

John, Holly, Matt, Gayle, J.R. and Stan

Carson, Mary, Tracey, Me, Paul, John, Holly

John, Holly, Jenny, Trey (kneeling) and Mark

Time to go. Holly is leaving with the cake topping:

Thanks for coming! We had a great time and I hope you did, too.

What’s that? Oh. I forgot. Sorry.

Yes,  Holly and John decided her name it’s…Faith Alexandria.

Peace.

What a lovely name! Personally, I love the older names. Clever idea for a party, too. I really like the idea of using the cake as the big reveal.

The cake looks lovely, shame it had to be eaten. 🙂
I love the names for the newest family member and the photos are good. Well done.
I will look forward to a photo of you nursing Faith when she finally arrives. 🙂

The cake really was gorgeous and I’m glad it tasted as good as it looked. It does seem insane to take hours to create it and minutes to eat, didn’t it?

Thanks, my favorite photo is Holly’s face when she sees the pink. She is very excited about her daughter’s arrival. It feels strange saying that but it’s a good strange.

I’ll share as many photos as Holly and John will let me.
